Selden Edwards (former Cate faculty and husband to recently retired faculty member Gaby Edwards) has been beaming since last fall when Dutton made an offer on The Little Book that was hard to refuse. After that, there has been one good piece of fortune after another surrounding Selden's novel, which was more than 30 years in the making. The Little Book has received rave reviews by NPR, The Santa Barbara Independent (which recently featured a portrait of Seldon on its cover), and others, and has climbed Amazon's ratings exponentially with no sign of slowing down.
